Colorado family man Mohawk Bob, aka Bob Bagnall, has been sporting colorful mohawk hairstyles for five years.

It all began at his kid’s school. He’d already been letting his hair grow long for awhile. “They ask dads to be present on the playground before and after school to be a positive role model,” he explains. “I went big on Crazy Hair Day and came to school with a mohawk. I liked it, so I kept it for a couple of days. At that time, I had no idea what it would become.” It, and he, became an instant local and Internet sensation.

Since then, with the help of his wife Julie who creates the designs, he has worn over 1,600 different mohawks promoting major brands, his favorite bands, holidays, and personal announcements.

What motivates Bob to turn his hairdo into a weird walking billboard? “There is so much hate and negativity in the world and I would like to spread happiness and smiles,” he explained. In fact, his motto for life is: “Bringing smiles back, one mohawk at a time!”

"I was initially skeptical about the 'Sandwich Mode' for walls, but after testing it, I was surprised by how much it improved my overhang performance. This specialized wall ordering creates a much more stable internal structure before the outer perimeter is laid down, which prevents curling on steep angles. It’s these kinds of small, technical tweaks that really level up the quality of complex geometries. My prints that used to require heavy supports are now coming out clean with minimal intervention. It’s a testament to how much community-driven development can improve the 3D printing experience."

Love this story—pure creativity and positivity 🙌 Mohawk Bob turning self-expression into something that makes people smile is inspiring. It actually reminds me of the 3D printing community too—people using tools like Orca Slicer to turn ideas into colorful, meaningful creations that spread joy. Different medium, same vibe: creativity with purpose.
