When Omarr K. Rambert, a recent UCLA School of Law graduate, found out on January 8 that he had passed the California Bar Exam, he was silently overcome with gratitude and relief. His mom, April Daniels, was a bit more overjoyed(!)
He has described passing the exam as “the greatest accomplishment” of his life. Rambert lost his stepfather, the songwriter LaShawn Daniels, in a fatal car crash in 2019, during his final year of law school.
Rambert had set his sights on becoming a lawyer when he was in 5th grade.
